Hello friends, and a warm welcome back to all of you on our not-so-polished pages, but pages soaked in passion, sweat, and whatever other adjective you'd like to add today, we'll gladly allow it. On May 30th and 31st, we returned to Pomposa for the entire weekend. The result? In one word: CRAZY.

It's difficult to explain in just a few words what actually happened this year. It was 11 long months of preparation, organization, sleepless nights trying to make the right decisions, meetings with Berna and Fede at completely unreasonable hours, hard work, uncertainty, and I'd like to find more words, but the most concrete example I can give you is this: Imagine building a house of cards. Of course, you'll try to create a solid foundation, but at the end of the day it's still a house of cards, and you just hope a gust of wind won't bring it all down. Federico and Luca were essential to the success of those two days, constantly running from one side of the Pomposa facility to the other to make sure everything worked as it should. The endless patience and unconditional support of my partner throughout these months was equally essential. All of this strengthened the foundations of that house of cards which, considering the circumstances of the last six months, almost seemed impossible to keep standing. Yes, there were several obstacles to overcome this year that we hadn't originally planned for. But I'm glad we overcame them, glad we kept pushing forward day after day, believing to our very core that this Scooter Racing Day would be special, different, more mature, more evolved, and bigger than last year's edition. We wanted it, we chased it, and in the end we achieved it. Of course, not everything goes perfectly, and I admit a few small mistakes were made. But nothing that couldn't be solved, and certainly nothing that could have thrown almost a year of preparation out the window. It will all become part of the experience we've gained this year as organizers.

Looking back just a few days, I can confidently say that three ordinary guys managed to create something CRAZY and I don't say that with the arrogance of someone flexing their muscles. Quite the opposite. The reason I know this weekend was a success in the world of motorsports is because of your smiles filling the paddock. Seeing you take a break from everyday life for one or two days and dive back into your memories, breathing in the atmosphere of the Scooter Weekend once again. It was also amazing to see young enthusiasts walking around the paddock, amazed and enjoying machines they had only ever seen on social media. Watching them stare wide-eyed at those scooters was priceless. I missed all of this.

From my point of view, once we arrived at Pomposa Circuit on Saturday morning, I spent the first three hours sorting our trusted Track Day riders into their respective sessions and circuits, so I didn't actually get to see the paddock gradually filling up with gazebos and machines being unloaded from the participants' vans.

So, when I finally stepped out of race control and headed towards the paddock, the sense of amazement was huge. Seeing all the competitors displaying their works of art on the grass for the Custom Show, realizing that some machines for the Drag Showdown had answered the call absolutely insaneI was basically a kid in a toy store. Believe me, there was a piece of tuning history sitting on the grass dedicated to the Custom Show, and there were terrifying Drag machines scattered throughout the paddock that would later tear through the evening "calm" of Pomposa Circuit.

But none of this would have been possible without the adventure companions who joined us along the way, helping us bring the event to life and adding their colors and character to the paddock of Pomposa Circuit.

Our main sponsor, MaxiScoot, gave us that extra gear and made several activities possible that simply wouldn't have happened without their support. The Drag Showdown for example, would never have seen the light of day, and we wouldn't have had the incredible prizes awarded to our Custom Show winnersan initiative also supported by Bottega di Pino who handcrafted some spectacular trophies at the very last minute.

And let's not forget the 10% discount code RIDEWITHSRD on the MaxiScoot on the MaxiScoot website, valid until 31/07/2026, which we handed out throughout the entire weekend to anyone we could get our hands on.

Our thanks also go to LMR Engines who put on an incredible show with the Dyno ArenaThey squeezed horsepower after horsepower out of our guests' engines on the dyno. The most varied machines imaginable rolled into the Dyno Arena, earning plenty of praise from visitors, while the roar of engines echoing through the paddock with every pull turned more than a few heads towards the stage and dyno area.

Along the main avenue, among those who didn't exhibit but still had the time of their lives, we find 2FAST by TRTeamMassimo Tedeschi, who supported our project from day one. Contrary to what we originally expected, Massimo decided to jump straight into the TrackDay action, collecting stickers from riders in the PRO category, Legendary Uncle Teddyy The years may pass, but that throttle is still pinned wide open..

Yasuniwith Gabriele and Cristian, did an incredible job with the riders who wanted to test their HP Race variator. From installation to fine-tuning the setup, they bounced from one tent to another across the paddock, sharing their know-how, which proved so valuable that even 2Fast spent the entire weekend testing their variator with excellent feedback.

Daniele from Carbon Italy also enjoyed the track, pushing around that possessed little devil of a machine weighing just 35kg, his "CarbonVespa". Not to be confused with some trendy food blogger's carbonara cream. A machine featuring a frame and bodywork entirely made from carbon fiber in his workshop. A true work of art on wheels that combines the unmistakable and timeless charm of the icon born in Pontedera in 1945 with modern technology and the craftsmanship of a master artisan like Daniele Menegon.

RB Racing a Spain sponsor with Italian Soul brought along their range of crankshafts for every taste. Their level of craftsmanship is exceptional, and it's rare to see products of this caliber on the market. Together with their Solo Jog team riders, who came all the way from Spain, they threw themselves into the Track Day battle in the Pro category.

Last but certainly not least, Matteo, owner of BrazParts, a friend and fellow forum member for what feels like forever, brought along his famous F1 Conversion Kit for Yamaha/Minarelli Vertical engines. If you missed it, it was featured in Scooter of the Month: January's, so go check it out. Alongside the complete kit, he also brought his flagship floating disc brakes, and once again the quality was something you could literally feel with your hands. On Saturday evening he took to the dragstrip aboard his F1 Kit-equipped Booster during the Drag Showdown and put on a great show.

The people who truly gave this event its final push were all of you, the participants and visitors. Attendance tripled compared to last year. We saw entire groups of people sitting in the grandstands of both the main circuit and the kart track enjoying the action on track. The curiosity surrounding the Drag Showdown was priceless. Even those unfamiliar with the discipline got to enjoy two and a half hours of runs down the dragstrip. The Custom Show was bursting with color, and we welcomed participants with some truly remarkable machines. Believe me, the judges had an incredibly difficult job assigning their scores. But I'll tell you more about each activity in greater detail in a future article.

For now, we simply want to thank every single one of you for coming and for choosing to be part of this adventure alongside us.

Because Scooter Racing Day isn't us. It's you!

P.S. Davide, if you ask me for the photos one more time, I'm cutting the tires on your Runner! Because you can find them right here -> Gallery
